make sure the wine window is the only open windows on the desktop.
that forces the window to take focus.

or to me more specific this command is how to run it :
wine hl.exe -- hl.exe -console

add whatever other options you wish after console, such as screen width/height, windowed, etc, etc ...

Desktop mode?

I don't know if it's wine or Half life but it's VERY unstable. crashes while opening almost everything in half life. however, single player works fine except the walls kinda appear/disassapeare lol....

Still doesnt work

Hi;

I dont mean to bring up a dead post but I am having the exact same problem as described here. I tried changing the 'Managed' and 'DXGrab' config keys, but I still cant type the key into the field.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanx.

got it working,

It was a stupid mistake on my part ( i was editing the wrong user's wine config file). After changing those flags in the one i meant to change, it worked. Thanks!
