Okay so i have a decent system :
2.66 Ghz Celeron D 330 @533Mhz FSB
512 MB DDR RAM
and an ATI RADEON 9200SE 128MB 8x card
My problem is this :
the installed Fedora Core 2 comes with Xorg blah blah blah..
and it comes with the MESA open GL and GLU libraries
i have tried..tried and TRIED and....tried again to install the prop. drivers from ATI..i have followed every instruction on the web to do so..but it wouldn't work...
i am little annoyed because a simple game like tuxracer is sort of sluggish..
i am pretty sure if i get the drivers to work for the ATI card, everything would be just fine...
any suggestions how to get rid (if necessary) off the MESA libraries and install something that won't make graphics sluggish?
My problem is with 3D graphics, everything in 2d works great
Please advice,
Oh yeah, i am quite into gaming, so i'd like to do more than tuxracer.
Also, is this system short of tuxracer even??...

i ave no money to build another system.
thanks.
