Hi
i have redhat 9. I have little bit of problem with rpm. i just installed realplayer rpm packet. but right after that i queried using "rpm -q rp8_linux20_libc6_i386_cs1_rpm". but it said packets is not installed, how could that be. i just installed and able to run it , could anyone point it out?
Thanks
Hi Tink
Thanks for ur reply. it didnt find it , well, it can find anything it installed as default, but it cant find anything that i installed by myself , such as xine and others like realplayer in this case, i have no idea on it, what if i want to uninstall it , that would be a problem,
I found it, rpm -qa|grep Real, oh well, anyway, so rpm only can be used to uninstall rpm packets, how about otherfiles, that we install from .tar, how do we uninstall them, just make uninstall??
As for the usage of grep... you really should
go with the -i option sometimes, because Linux
is case-sensitive by default, and -i in grep will
ignore case ;) in searches (same for locate,
btw)
