using openSSH 2.9 on Ubuntu 9.04

can we use openSSH version 2.9 on ubuntu 9.04 server?

Hi User1221,

You probably can, but the only way to tell for sure is to try it. You imply you need to use a certain version of openssh. I'd be willing to say there is some misconception of something going on. Ssh is installed by default, but for some reason you don't want to use the default install. WHY??!

Yes I know that SSH is already installed with the default installation of OS. But there is a prerequisite for OpenSSh 2.9 for a particular software.
