Using Linux to remove directory containing invalid windows filenames?

I have a directory on a windows 98 computer containing about 30,000 files with invalid windows filenames. (The PC crashed and mangled the contents of the firefox cache directory.)

I'd like to use BootE Linux (which boots from a floppy) to delete the cache directory. Will the rm command remove any directory regardless of its contents?

Thanks.

Ellen

yup! :)

That was easy. You might run an 'rm -rf' of the folder though though. Read the man page first.

I was just trying to kill butterflies... if you really want to finish species you should #shred -vzf -n 100 / ;)
