using linpus lite on my aspire one

hi,i'm new to the linux world.I'm using linpus lite on my acer aspire one,my biggest problem has to do with the downloads.The linpus os comes with Mozilla installed and I want to download and use Opera,how can I go about this,I downloaded the Opera file but it didn't run nor open what could be the problem.
I also wanted to know how to get more games.

what file did you download?
if it is a rpm
sudo rpm -ivh foo.rpm

Thanks guys for your help especially arochester,great help able to open and use not only opera but avast as well.Thanks once again.
Now I need your help once again, in the process of modifying the comp I inadvertently removed my task bar right now i'm trying to retrieve it but it's not working what advice would you guys give me
