Thumbs up Using http://127..0.0.1:901 to launch samba SWAT and entering root/<password> getting


Using http://127..0.0.1:901 to launch samba AT and entering root/<password> getting the following error :

401 bad authentication. username or password is incorrect.
thie is the system root user and password and that is correct.

I even used "smbpasswd -e root" and provided the same root password and confirmed it but still getting the same error message.

I have /etc/xinetd.d/swat file as follows :

port = 901
wait = no
instnaces = 5
disable = no
only_from = 127.0.0.1
user = root
server = /usr/sbin/swat
log_on_failure += USERID
