Using a Apple shuffle and Gtkpod

Hello,
Has anybody had any issues using a Apple ipod shuffle and Gtkpod?
I am new to linux and I want a simple mp3 player. Thanks in advance, Tom

I know it's not the question you're asking, but I'm using gtkpod with a 20GB iPod. It's sweet. :)

Thanks, I bet Gtkpod should work with the shuffle.

Guys,
I think I broke my Ipod shuffle?
My Ipod sits in a usb port blinking. I am tryinging to understand the How to get Ipod shuffle to work and don't have a clue to what I am doing? I am using Mepis on a dell p3 with gtkpod it sees the ipod as a usb mass storage device the desktop Icon reads Hard disk (sda2) [/mnt/ipod] From reading the other post I thought I had to partion(?) it? After trying to partion it with qtparted I now get a
"mount: /dev/sda2 is not a valid block device" Now what do I do? Now when I pull my ipod out the green light stays on solid But before I used to get the error light?
Thanks in advance, Tom
