Using 2 hds and Ghost For Linux (g4l)

My new install of Fedora Core 2 gives the following bootup
info:

When it encounters the second hard drive (installed as slave),
it notes that there is duplicate boot information on it.

This is because I initially did a separate install of FC2 on the slave drive.

A message in red appears to tell me the dupicate drive is not
mounted.

My primary question is:

When I want to use Ghost For Linux (g4l) in the click and clone
mode to do a simple disk to disk backup of the Master disk
on system? Do I ahve to prepare the slave drive to do the
transfer or will g4l just write over the whole thing?

I have not used the g4l yet because I'm afraid of overwriting
the primary drive with a command error I may not fully
understand.

Is there any preparation of the slave drive necessary before
running g4l or dd (disk dump)?
