My linux machine has only two partitions on my disk .

/ (ext3) and swap .

I have 2 users . abc and xyz . I would like to increase the qouta limit for xyz . How can i do that ?

Since i cannot have seperate /home partition ..How can i go with 'quota' utility ?

You can apply quota on /. This is the only option. Or you can create a partition and format it and apply quota on it.
To edit quota for user you can

man edquota.
