Use gcc and standard libraries with SUSE 9.1 Personal
Hi, I just wanted to know if someone could help me... I just installed SUSE 9.1 Personal and I wanted to write a program in C. I did that and now need to compile and run it. I see that gcc isn't reconized so I used cpp but the compiler can't find my simple include header files such as stdio.h, unistd.h, sys/types.h ecc. How do I install these files? and gcc? Thanks in advance, Warren

Sorry to sound stupid :-D, but what does that mean?
I don't even have an internet connection on my linux system. I suppose I could find a way to fix that problem, but still I don't know what an ftp repositary is and how to use it... |
a repository is a (ftp or http) site that contains alot of programs and libraries , so when u add one in yast when u install gcc for ex. it will go to that repository and download gcc then install it for u and it will even install any or program that is dependent on gcc
check out this link it will tell u how to add a repository to yast http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...use+repository |
