usbmon module not present but built-in as a module - Ubuntu 10.04

The module is built into the kernel as far as the documentation for 10.04
there is a /sys/kernel/debug/usb/usbmon folder with appropriate 1o-5t or whatever files but can't load the module.

its returns fatal can't find usbmon .. so that means it isn't built in right?

or can i get the module loaded?

i guess if it suppose to be built-in as a module as default in 10.04 ubuntu and there is a reference for it in /sys/kernel/debug/usb/ but there is no module folder folder for usbmon then wtf?

as stated before modprobe returns fatal can't find usbmon
there certainly is no usbmon folder with all the other module guys in /sys/

ubuntu documentation starts really well but it doesn't give anything clear because it just isn't there.

i smell a bug or am i just too windozzzzzzzzzzzzed
