I don't think it's a firefox issue but rather related to what the website you're using your webcam on requires. You can easily test this by trying to use the webcam with a different browser. If it doesn't work either then I am correct and the problem is not related to firefox. If the webcam works in general, then it's unlikely to be a driver issue. Try the site with, say, epiphany and see if you have the same problem.
