USB raw I/O via /dev/usb/xxxxx

I would like to perform raw USB I/O using open, read, and write on some device in /dev/usb, but don't know how. I can find the device of interest in /proc/bus/usb/devices, and am aware that in /dev/usb the devices have major and minor device numbers, but don't know how to identify the device in /dev/usb which correstponds to some entry in /proc/bus/usb/devices having a bus # and port #. Let's say I'm interested in doing raw I/O on a device on bus01 port02. How do I identify the /dev/usb/ttyUSBxx that I can open, read and write on for this bus and port number?

can the command lsusb -v
give you some info toward what you want to do?

Have you looked at www.linux-usb.org ?
Maybe there are relevant links there
