Unhappy USB network dongle not being Identified


Problem, using Red Hat WS 4 enterprise, on a panasonic laptop the system will not reconize the SMC usb network dongle

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the forums. RHEL 4 uses an older kernel which may not recognise these new mobile broadband devices. Distributions using newer kernels can detect these devices and get them working with minimal effort.
