usb mouse not working

Have had mandrake 9.0 running for about 2 weeks with a microsoft intelli mouse with no worries at all.
I put in a P4 Titan Motherboard GA-8simlh which has a sis 651 chipset. Now my USB intelli mouse wont work :/
The motherboard came with a CD for the USB patch for windows which works well, but my problem is how or where can i get a USB patch so it will work for linux ?????

any ideas are greatly appreciated
