to Kees-Jan: under windows . it work under the name E:
but one day. i notice a second floppy B: in my computer ! how can it be possible i have only 1 fdd
i format B:
E: drive still exist in my computer but when i try to open, a message tell me to insert the disk but i already insert the flash drive
If it doesn't work under windows, it will probably not work under linux either (as you are experiencing). I'm a bit sorry to say that, but when it comes to usb sticks, I have blind faith in Windows ;-)
Anyway, it once happened to me that when I inserted one usb stick, it created two disks under windows. That was shortly after I messed up the sticks partition table.
I recommend getting the stick to work under windows first (for example by formatting e: ), and then trying to mount it under linux.
I have a usb memory key that has recently been accessed via Windows 2K and when I attempt to mount on RH8 ( I'm prepping to upgrade RH ) ) I see the mentioned message "no medium found". However I am able in insert a memory key with larger ram into the same port.
Any ideas? Does Windows mess with the formating of the key when it is used to delete files off of the key?
