.urls

Before I formatted my WinXP HDD, I backed up my "Favorites" in IE. Now, I would like to put them in my "Bookmarks" in Mozilla.

How do I make my .url files open up in Mozilla and in the list of "Bookmarks"

Thanks,
Michael

if you exported the favorites it should be pretty simple. from the mozilla bookmark manager

tools > import > bookmark.htm(wherever you exported it)

you would of needed to export them from IE as a bookmark html page right?
Did you just save the favorites folder with all the url shortcuts?

I don't think IE saves bookmarked sites as an HTML file..

Either way, all I did was save my Favorites folder with all the URL shortcuts.

What can I do?

well in IE you can actually export all your favorites to a bookmark.htm file that just list all the sites in a row as hyperlinks when you open it up.
Im not sure how to import the .URL files/

have a look here

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...der=descending

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...der=descending

this thread gives links to some bookmark managers that may do the trick

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...illa+bookmarks

if you don't find anything in those threads that help, you could always add each link manually(as a last resort).
good luck.
