Urgent Help HElp, Please, I beg you

If somebody is kind enought to help me. I hav a computer with 160 Gb hard disk. I have to partitions one for linux and one for windows. I have installed the latest linux mandrake 9.2. My video card is Nvidia FX 5200 128Mb. I have also a ethernet card. When i installed linux mandrake the setup installation detected all of my hardware correct! But when i boot into mandrake , he just frezees at "initializing interface eth0" (i hope i have written correct). Can anybody tell me what to do? advices? anything?
I'm deeply thankfull.
(excuse my english :) )

When it gets to the eth0 part and "freezes" that is probably because you set it to get the ip address from a dhcp server. If there is no dhcp server connected to that nic it will retry several times and eventually time out.
Just wait for it to time out and then the machine should finish booting up. Then change eth0 to put an ip address in manually.

On a side note and in the future, please do not mark your threads as urgent, its rude and inconsiderate to the members that come here to help answer questions. And your questions have no priority over any others so its pointless to even mark them urgent.

Make a good title that describes your problem to speed up your replies.

Regards.
