uploading file from the client to the server

hi

can't write file to the server I am getting an error :Warning: Unable to create 'siamad.txt': Permission denied in /var/www/html/projectmanagement/test.php on line 25
Cant copy siamad.txt to siamad.txt.

Please help!!!!

Do you have write permissions in that directory for the user who is trying to upload the file. 'man chmod' will explain how to change the permissions appropriately.

The user I think should be apache. Because the request is initiated from a php page(which is the client's side). I have chmod the directory to 775 and chown to apache. but still I can not write to the folder. PLEASE HELP !!!!!
