Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

I am trying to invoke *.fmx Forms from Oracle 9i on my Linux Red Hat Enterprise 3 (ES) server. My server has Mozilla 1.4 and Konqueror browsers installed.
A) On Mozilla 1.4, I get a message like:
When I click on the blank form with the little square and puzzle size at the center of the screen, I get the following message box:
This page contains information of a type (application/x-java-applet; version=1.3) that can only be viewed with the appropriate Plug-in.
B) I tried using the Konqueror browser on my Linux Box.
When running the RUNFORM and invoking test.fmx at Linux2005 and port 7777, I get a grey browser window that appears. The content is blank but gray.
When I tried to call, my lot.fmx form at Linux2005 and port 7777, I get a grey broser window with a message at the center that says: Error: java executable not found
I get the feeling that both my Web browsers are not using the latest Java Plugins and are not uptodate.
What is the procedure to upgrade the Java Plugins and make my browsers uptodate ?
