upgrading KDE

Hi Folks,

I am on julia 10 using KDE 4.6.2.I'd like to upgrade my KDE to 4.7 & how do i do it ?

I did a
Quote:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/beta
& ran an update and a dist-upgrade,but i dont see the kde being upgraded.

How do i upgrade an individual component of kde like kmix to a newer version ? I'm using kmix 3.8 and at times it takes 100 % of cpu ! Thanks !

I don't know about Mint but KDE 4.7 hasn't appeared in Sid (Unstable) yet. If no Mint release has 4.7 you could go to the KDE site and see what they've got to download. On the other hand Deb Testing has KDE 4.6.5 so you might find that version (slightly higher than 4.6.2) on Mint.
ciao,
jdk
