Upgrading from older version to newer
 

I purchased Mandrake 9 and received several CDs worth of software applications. I never could get Mandrake 9 to recognize my ADSL connection so I erased it from my computer and went back to using Windows XP. I have since downloaded Mandrake 10 and would like to have many of the software applications that came with my purchased Mandrake 9 package. Is there a way to install them so they will work with Mandrake 10?

Best bet is to look for the source RPMs (SRPM) and then create a new binary RPM from that...
