Upgrading from Core 2 to 3
I am about ready to upgrad my system from Fedora 2 to 3. As I understand I should be able to boot to a Fedora 3 cd and let the installer take over from there. I don't want to wipe out my current system. Any tips would be appreciated.

CD1 from Fedora 3 should detect the presence of FC2 and offer upgrade as an option.

Hello Damon,
Yes, it is possible to upgrade from 2 to 3 but this doesn’t always works as smooth as it suppose to do. So I have only one tip or advice and that is back-up all the things you like to keep. |
:) For the record....upgrade went great. Booted to Fedora core 3 cd and it upgraded everything in about 2 hours. The used up2date to finish the job. Whole process took about 4-5 hours. Working great now. Thanks to all for the help.

I have a similar situation, but it seems like my current install
is fedora core not fedora1. I put the fedora3 cd#1, but was not offered an upgrade. How do I upgrade then? |
