How did you port scan? From the machine itself or from and outside source?

I would use one the portscanning websites out there like http://www.hackerwatch.org/probe/

Scanning from the machine itself will more than likely show many open ports since scanning the localhost. If machine is behind a firewall router then the remote scanner sites will only be able to scan the router itself unless you have ports forwarded through or a dmz setup.
