updating redhat
Hi all,
I am new to linux and I was wondering what do I need if I want to upgrade my redhat 7.0 to 7.3. - What file do I need to download ? - Should I download the full version ? - Is it possible to upgrade directly to 7.3 ? - Is it worthy to do it ? Thanks for your answers... Niton |
Head to RH website and you can get all the info there, I am not trying to be rude BTW, it is all there - mirrors to downloads, instructions, and so forth http://www.redhat.com/download/howto_download.html start from there.

That's quite a big a jump you know. I'd say you upgrade the basics: kernel, security patches, etc. for your release 7.0.
http://www.redhat.com/apps/support/errata/ First thing you may want to do is kernel. http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2001-130.html Scroll to "Red Hat Linux 7.0 i386" and get 5 files *headers*, *source*, *kernel*, *ibc*, *pcmcia* then do http://www.redhat.com/support/resour...e-upgrade.html |
