Updating PlayOnLinux

Im still getting used to packages, updates, and installs. I installed playonlinux (through ubuntu tweak I think). When I run it I get an error telling me it is out of date and I need the newest version. I have a clean machine with 11.04 that I am playing with to learn.

I went to the playonlinux website and downloaded the file to my desktop but I am unsure of what to do next. Don't laugh! Stop it!! Anyway, I could use some guidance. Thanks.

K

what exactly is the name of the file you downloaded? include the extension (.tar.gz, .deb, whatever).

I'm not an Ubuntu user, but IIRC you need to load the software center and there should be an Install button somewhere which allows you to select a .deb package to install.

it keeps installing the 3.8 version. I may be missing it but I do not see a way to search and install .deb packages.
