updating Kernel?

Why do i get the scsi_mod.o errors etc. when updating my Kernel
Do I need to install these mod's first?

i'd guess that your system date time is wrong. it's only a warning from tar though, don't worry about it.

hi there

i remenber too had a error like this sometime back in a diffent application
when my system clock had incorrect time
it may sound foolish,but try to check ur system clock time and see it works
