Updating in Mandrake 9
 

firstly, How do i update kde in mandrake 9? also, is their some alternative to the default updater? it isn't very helpful :(

let me know how you get on

i downloaded the entire 136MB of packages
Qt must be upgraded first
it takes an hour to compile on an Athlon 1700+
and i could not understand the error messages i got at the end of the hour
and i tried 3 times

(and yes i was following the instructions from the KDE site)
