Update question.

After installing a distro (mandriva to be exact)and setting up all the package mirrors.I can see there is a lot of available updates.security, bug fixes, etc. Is it a good idea to select all of these and install?Or is it better to see what my system has problems with(if any)and try to find an update that applies? Thanks.

It is generally a good idea to download program updates since they fix bugs (crashing=bad) and security updates (without these, your computer can be broken into).

There could be problems that you don't know about, so its better to install updates for all the programs you have installed.
