Update metasploit using yum?


HI,

I recently started using a backtrack tool know as metsploit console on my fedora o.s,i just wanted to clarify two this ,first of all can you update metasploit 3.3 to 3.4 using yum command?(file place in /usr/bin/msfgui)
secondly i wanted to know whether metasploit is apllicable only under a lan network?

Hi,


heres the solution lol. goto this link that is http://www.metasploit.com/framework/...ad/(metasploit official site) and download the metasploit package depending on the respective platform in my case FC13 32BIT.after download the tar file extract the packages and open a file knows MSFGUI.hope that helps!! have fun!!

Just found the same site.
As you already know from the other @Manish87
metasploit thread : Mandriva packages only.

( The latest is still 3.3.3.)
So it can't be installed / updated with yum.

cd hydra-5.7-src/ && ./configure && make && ./xhydra
... 'xhydra' will display a nice GUI.

./configure will list the optional dependencies.
Please ask, if you have any problems with those.
