Update Fedora Core 3 Server??
Hello,
I just got Fedora Core 3 installed on my server. How do I update all the software on it including apache2 so that all the software us up to date?? I try running: yum update but got this strange message that I dont understand: You have enabled checking of packages via GPG keys. This is a good thing. However, you do not have any GPG public keys installed. You need to download the keys for packages you wish to install and install them. You can do that by running the command: rpm --import public.gpg.key For more information contact your distribution or package provider. Not sure how to update the software now...? Thx. |
I don't mean to sound harsh, but did you *read* the message you received?
try running the following command as root: rpm --import public.gpg.key and then try the yum update again. |
problem is... it didnt work... I keep getting this error message
error: public.gpg.key: import read failed. :( |
Now we get to the nub of the problem, and I'm afraid I can't help much, since I don't use FC3. Maybe a more knowledgable poster will come along and help. You can also try asking for help in RedHat/Fedora Core forums. |
