update cannot find transmission-common

I can no longer update Fedora because it fails and hangs on trying to update package "transmission-gtk" due to a dependency "transmission-common" whose source cannot be found.

How do I fix this and how can linux update break itself so badly that it adds dependencies to itself without checking for their sources first?

Either uncheck transmission-gtk in the update gui or run
Code:
yum update --exclude=transmission-gtk
from a terminal. And I don't know why you can't get transmission-common because it's in updates now. Try installing it first -
Code:
yum install transmission-common

If I try excluding it, dependency resolution fails and again the update fails, back to square one.
If I add --skip-broken, it works; but now I've no idea what kind of bad state this leaves my install. To further worsen problems I erased package "transmission" and can no longer re-install it for the above problems. I'll never make fun of Windows Update again.

Here's output from running 'yum install transmission-common'
http://pastebin.com/5GvDFWap

It either 404's on the mirror or complains that 'Package does not match intended download'

Code:
yum localinstall transmission-1.92-1.fc11.x86_64.rpm transmission-cli-1.92-1.fc11.x86_64.rpm transmission-common-1.92-1.fc11.x86_64.rpm transmission-daemon-1.92-1.fc11.x86_64.rpm transmission-gtk-1.92-1.fc11.x86_64.rpm transmission-qt-1.92-1.fc11.x86_64.rpm
run yum from the directory you downloaded the files to.

BTW I suggest you stop complaining, this is nothing to do with linux. transmission isn't linux it's a third party app.

Thanks, I'll try that when I re-install transmission.
I don't recall complaining about Linux though. Yum on the other hand... well clearly somethings amiss if, as you say, it's in the updates repo (which I have enabled).
