update backtrack 5


hello i update my backtrack 5 and its login interface change.and i dont know password and username.can any one tell me

An update will not change password. Just reload it.

root and toor are default password but when i upgrade ubuntu 12.4 its cant work

Boot into single user mode and reset the root password.

To boot into single user mode, append a "1" or "single" at the end of the kernel boot menu.

I think you mean you are trying to install ubuntu and it shows a log on screen?

BackTrack is based on Ubuntu, but it is not really compatible with Ubuntu, which is clearly stated in their FAQ: http://www.backtrack-linux.org/wiki/...ck_install_.3F
So you can't upgrade Backtrack to a newer Ubuntu version.
