unusual problem with vlc


presently after i installed vlc media player i fedora 10 machine and since then i am encountering a strange problem.

mp3 files are so noisy and so unpleasant to the ear...
the problem even persists with the flac files....
i hear scratches in between when actually there is not.

can anybody please help

hi lemon

is that you first time install fedora on that system or before this
that system having windows or whatever linux , how about the mp3 file
with other system, or try to run mp3 with livecd,

if your "whatever system use" the mp3 file still have the same behavior
mean your processor got problem ( hardware )

or

try run mp3 with xmms see what is the result or other audio player

look the same mp3 file i play in amarok or rhythmbox yields a far better result(i mean what one can expect out of an mp3 player). The problem arises with vlc only

If your VLC player shows visualization when plays an audio file ( like mp3) stop the visualization. It may solve your sound problem.
go to the VLC player's menu: Audio --> Visualization --> disable.

unfortunately there is no visualization issue.
