Unresponsive keyboard

I'm trying to boot my laptop in single user maode and my keyboard is unresponsive.

Any ideas?

can you get into the bios, or does it work in windows?
If yes, it's the linux settings, which could be a problem, so did it used to work in linux?

if no, .... check the plug ... (and that may void the warranty)

Fond a USB keyboard doesn't matter now

well it 4 ears later, hopefully you are till roaming this forum.

i am having the same problem, no response from my keyboard and touchpad under windows or at bios boot(cannot enter bios setup) and cannot choose OS to boot from grub, but in opensuse i have response from both, except the touchpad is delayed in response and jitters.

what did you mean by 'check the plug',, i have run out of options so i am willing to try anything.
I just hope you dont mean check the ps2 plug or DIN plug or somethin like that..?
