unresolved reiserfs superblock on...


When my box starts up I get this message. What is wrong and how can I fix it?

i dunno, try fsck /dev/[your reiserfs drive].

unmount it first.

alternatively, download knoppix and you can do it when booting from cd. so that you do not have to worry about unmounting your primary drive.

fsck shows a bad magic number in super-block. If it was ext3 or 2 I cold use e2fsck, if my memory is correct. But it is all rieserfs...so what do I do. there is no data on my hard drive as I am in the middle of making a mess out of a reinstallation. Any quick and dirty ways to clean this up?
