unresolved host - trying to connect
Hello,
I am new to wonderful Linux world (about 7 months). I have SUSE 9.2 I have an external ISDN modem, reads it as Trust ISDN. I live in Italy. The modem works when windows is loaded but everytime I try to go to a URL I receive "unresolved host 'web address' " I apoligize about the lack of info but I am still new to Linux. I have learned quite a bit of UNIX commands (college) so I should understand where to go to make changes. What does unresolved host mean? Note: When at the library using a wireless pcmia card I have no problems connecting to the internet. Thanks Juan |
sounds like you have no DNS... add your favourite DNS hosts to /etc/hosts

Will Try!
Thanks Mr Acid, looking forwand to going home and giving it a whirl!
Im trying to do everything with Linux now and not being able to connect while at home is quite frustrating. |
