Unmountable_boot_volume

Hello, while this does not relate to linux as this is an error message i get on someone else computer which is running XP it does seem very similar to what other have had problems with when they have removed linux and it boot loader. Will putting in and running the XP recovery thing fix this or is the hdd totaly messed up. Once agian im sry that this is not a linux question but there didn't seem to be any other place were this should go and it did sound familiar to what other have been having problems with.

i dont know what u did to remove the boot loader since there are many ways to remove it but i think it didnt clean the MBR( Master Boot Recored ) propely ,so i suggest u boot up the xp disc go into the repair console and write fixmbr so it will erase the mbr and write only the files needed for xp to boot goodluck.

You got to wait for that cd to boot & check the devices for 'years' then there will be options to install or to repair the existing windows xp installation. Then you got to select repair in recovery console. You got to enter the Admin password, then you got the prompt.
