unmountable boot volume

hello

i am new to linux, but desparately want to continue using it. unfortunately my supervisor uses windows, so i need windows too. i have tried to set up dual boot. i installed windows (successfully) then installed debian (successfully).

the problem is now when i try to run windows i get an error screen saying "Unmountable_boot_volume blah blah blah...".

Can someone please help. I really want to keep Debian but NEED windows to keep working.

Thanks in advance

This page says that the problem may be some data corruption in the Windows partition, but that it may be recoverable by running chkdisk from a windows boot disk (recovery mode). It also suggests running fixboot -I'm not sure if the grub boot-loader would need to be re-installed after this (though installing grub from a Linux live disk is easy enough to do).
