uninstalling softwares
 
Hi,


i am installing various software on my fedora 4, like sun studio, netbeans, nero etc., every one is giving guidance for installation and for others it is like following ./configure and then make and then make install.

but how to delete (uninstall) them safely is not known.

please any one help me.....

If you install with a package manager, it is easy.
For compiled SW---Quick Google shows that there is something called make deinstall. Suggest reading the GCC and Make documentation for the details

For most compiled software, you do "make uninstall" although this is not always the case. As for things like Sun Studio and netbeans, they tend to come with their own uninstallers and the info on how to uninstall is available in the installation directory and is also shown during installation.
