Uninstalling Redhat
 

I installed RedHat9 from about 5 months... but now I want to remove it for some reasons..
but I dont know how...
I usually format the whole drive to uninstall windows.
I have WinXP on C:
Files on D: E: F:
and Linux on the left space...
I want to remove linux and reput the drive G: just like it was before I install Linux.

Just delete the partition containing Linux. I'm pretty sure that Windows will pick up the blank space and offer to format it for you when you try and access it.

you'll have to recreate a ntfs partition after deleting your linux partition. you don't have to wipe the whole harddrive.

from where would I delete the partiotion?
Dos cant see it since its NTFS and lunix is on it.... right?

You can delete the partition and create a new NTFS partition in it's place by using the Disk Management utility in WindowsXP (right-click My Computer->Manage->Disk Management). You do want to be aware that you probably have GRUB/LILO installed on your Linux partition, and if you delete it, your system will become unbootable. If this happens, you'll want to get into the recovery console (XP CD), and use the 'fixmbr' and 'fixboot' commands to reinstall the XP bootloader. ;)

okey, if i go to Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Computer Management
I find
three unnamed(blank) drives
then under them I find my windows drives
C:
D:
E:
and the CD-Room

so the three partions are the linux ones I guess.... should I dlete them all? I want to keep the startup thing working....

I guess I was a little unclear in my original post. If you blow away the linux partitions (those would be the ones you found), your computer will become unbootable. If you look in my original post, however, you will see the solution that involves reloading the mbr and bootloader for XP to fix the problem. ;)

I was asking if I could delete only two, and keep the one responsilbe for the booting...
