Uninstalling programs


Hi there...

I've installed RedHat 9 a week ago and i still haven't figured out how to uninstall programs .. i tried to search on the web, but i didn't find anything... probably i didn't search that well....

i can uninstall program which were installed with rpm, but if i used make, make install to install the program, how can I remove it?

thanks...

I think you use:

'make clean'

usually it's
make uninstall
assuming you have the source directory left on your system.
make clean
just cleans up the source directory so you can compile afresh.

You might want to check out CheckInstall to manage source code installations/uninstallation
