unicode to normal data conversion

In windows we are using WideCharToMultiByte to convert unicode to normal data. In linux we are using iconv() for unicode to normal. Here Unicode is reading from file using fgets(). In windows conversion done successfully, but fails in linux.

I am getting one doubt in iconv_open.
[iconv_open(to_code,from_code);] What are the values needed for to_code and from_code for unicode to normal conversion.

Please give the suggestions.

Thanks,
Nagendra.
