unable to VNC into Redhat 9 Server
 

Hi all,

I have vnc version 4 client installed on win98 & VNC ver 4 on RedHat 9 (at least I think it is installed). I can get SSH working from my 98 client into my RH box...no problems. Being new to RH & Linux. I'd like to get the vnc viewer working fromt the win98 client as the RH box will be server with no monitor, but I'm getting 'connection refused(10061)' when trying to connect. I have changed the RH hostname to 192.168.0.9 to no avail. I too would also like to have the VNC Service working on boot up when it works. Any ideas?

Is the VNC server running on the RH box?
Are you running a firewall on the RH box?
