Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

I'm very new to linux and I'm having a problem loading RH 9.0 on a Intel based system as follows:
P4 1.8Ghz Northwood
ATI AIW 7500 64MB
LG Flatron l1720b
When I try to boot I get this information:
Xfree86 Version 4.3.0 (Red Hat Linux release: 4.3.0-2)
Release Date: 27 February 2003
X protocal version 11, Revision 0, Release 6.6
Build Operating system: Linux 2.4.20-3bigmem I686 [ELF]
Build date: 27 Feb 2003.
Build Host: Polrky.devel.redhat.com
Module loader present
OS kernel: linux version 2.4.20-8 (email@example.com)(gc)
(==) Log File: "/var/log/xfree86.0.log
(==) Using config file : "/etc/X11/XF86config"
(EE) RADEON (0): No valid mode found for this DFP/LCD
I Have tired to install several times trying different configs, I also tried to use just the standard VGA driver for the video card but noting works. I have been able to install fedora Core on the same machine with no problems.
I got this version of RH from a book ->>Red Hat Linux Bible - Christopher Negus.
If anyone has any ideas I would greatly apprecate it.
