unable to start vncsession ?

hi experts,
i want to use vncsession in Redhat Linux 2.6 version.

# vncserver
[New 'localhost.localdomain:59 (user)' desktop is localhost.localdomain:59

Starting applications specified in /home/user/.vnc/xstartup
Log file is /home/user/.vnc/localhost.localdomain:59.log

#

but with this session(59) i can see single terminal, no proper desktop, and if i give "xterm &" another terminal created. But i can't move that terminal.

If i commented this below line only terminal existing or else blank screen.
I given full permissions to .X11-unix directory.

But with root i can use vnc sessions, problem with user's account only.

How to solve this?

I am very thankful,if you provide multiple solutions.

Thanks in advance
Malli.

there is no "Problem" just a lack of reading documentation. You just need to create a suitable ~/.vnc/xstartup file to say what window manager you want to run.

I would *VERY* strongly suggest you do not use VNC though, for crap like this among many others of bad things about it. Check out NX at nomachine.org instead for a much slicker, more secure system.
