unable to setup wifi with fedora17
 
hello all,
i am new to linux. I have my wifi working fine with windows7 but i am not able to connect it to fedora17 on same laptop.when i try command lspci it gives me following:

It seems my h/w component has not support of 802.11a/g wireless devices? Is it right? plz help in setting up.

Fedora needs to be kept current - that means at present Fedora 20. Go to fedoraproject.org and download that and install it.
Then see if you have the same issue. Broadcom (that BCM4312) haven't been too well supported in the past, but are getting better - hopefully fixed in F20.
If you stil have the isseu on F20, google will find plenty of solutions for you.

Hi and welcome to LQ!
Fedora 17 isn't supported anymore exactly since one year (2013-07-30).
The last stable released is fedora 20. So, install it and check if your problem is still present.
