Hi all,
I have recently installed Yellow Dog Linux 6.0 onto my PS3 and am now trying to set up the wi-fi so I am able to connect to the internet, however, I am have extreme difficulty in doing so. I have been reading many websites for many hours over the past few weeks and still have not come to a solution. I have followed many the instructions on how to set up wi-fi that have been made available by others but am having no luck. The main set of instructions that seem to be posted are those presented on the following link -
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/li...R#gamefirmware.
I have noticed that when following the instructions on the website some differences occur between the instructions and my system, for example, under the “Activate the Wi-Fi on the PS3 under Linux” heading, step 6 asks me to select Sony PS3 Ethernet Dev under the Hardware tab, however, this options is not available on my system under this tab and then under the “Set up or change your wireless connection” heading, step 5 asks me to select Sony PS3 Ethernet Device (eth0) which again is not available on my system. I think this may be where the problem is as I have tried everything else and have had no luck.
P.S. I am using a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router WRT54GL
SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!
