Unable to play CNN/MSNBC video clips

They are all associated with Windows Media Player, also as Yahoo Music Launch;
any way we can play it in linux?

It seems that they have coded it to only pick up IE and Flash together. I have tried this with the User Agent Switcher extension for Firefox and identified my browser as IE 6.0 on XP, so it looks like they only want pure IE and Flash.

You could try installing Wine and Internet Explorer to view these videos.

Suse 10.0 is preinstalled with Wine, but when i type at shell:
wine iesetup.exe, it does not complete installation,
am i doing the right thing?

Go to www.frankscorner.org - there are a number of step by step install instructions to help you install IE

CNN video works here with Firefox and net-www/mplayerplug-in from Gentoo portage.
MSNBC does not indeed.
